I just took a look at the link Papa G provided...and it does appear to be a
very close relative of both scrapple and haggis.  Now scrapple is a dish
that came down through my family via Scottish/German ancestors who lived in
the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.  I've always believed that somehow the
folks who settled in the Valley, along with those who settled in central and
western PA developed the idea of scrapple from the haggis that they knew in
Scotland.  This dish is even closer to haggis in that it's made with
oatmeal.  Sounds interesting, I may have to try it.
