There was also a crusade in southern France around 1200, which is often
forgotten in favour of Spain and the Middle-East. I mean, northern France
went against the Cathars in Toulouse, Carcassonne and other cities in the
area.

So, yes, "crusades" covers a pretty wide time and place :-)
