[Sca-cooks] Period gingerbread

For the children's activity we used a small mortar and pestle to grate the
bread, but it was difficult to get an even grate, and slow. 
That's why we supplemented with the already grated breadcrumbs, but the
figuring out how to get bread crumbs was the most fun
part for the kids.  We also tried just breaking up some of the bread in
a bowl and "mashing" it with our hands (washed hands, of course).
