I have an appointment with my knee specialist in a few minutes so I'll  
look later on today.
Sounds like something out of Biblical Archaeology.

Until I get back take a look at

  By Andrew Dalby which is up on Google Books. The sections on cooking  
utensils and baking have a number of references.
