i used to love poached eggs until i say a certain iron 
chef (who shall remain nameless but seems to adore poached 
eggs) poach eggs in red wine.

the color and texture was somewhat unsettling.  this odd, 
mauve-y kind of color.  and i don't think it was the 
setting on my tv.

may have tasted good, but some things just don't get 
passed the eyes.

nothing like a good diner over easy egg.
