[Sca-cooks] lutefisk (highly offensive)

Icelandic Harkle (Rotten Shark) is 110% worse then Lutfisk. I grew up with Lutfisk every Christmas. Grandma served it with mash potatoes, peas, strong sharp mustard and a white gravy (heavy cream, flour and butter). I am not sure how her's was different from the Fear Factor props, but it wasn't bad. Now Harkle! It is still a law in Iceland that makers of Harkle must be 1000 feet from any establishment. When you walk up to the sheds you can smell why. The smell of Lutfisk is nothing in compared to 10 15-20ft rotting sharks hanging from thier fins. The texture is like soft cheese, but the flavor is...... smokey pee with a strong after taste of salt.

Lutefisk is a culinary abomination, dear Margaret!
Here in Sweden Lutefisk is banned from the modern Christmas tables and only
consumed by really old timers :)
