Anyhoo, my kids played in the mud, ate unbaked cookie dough, kissed dogs 
on the lips. They survived. :-) Soap-and-water clean seems to work just 
fine. My exception is in camp- I use a squirt of the anti-bacterial goo 
when cleaning up after handling raw meat, returning from the privy, 
etc., just to be safe, since running hot water ain't happening there. 
Nobody's had 'tourney tummy' in my camp that I know of, and I like to 
keep it that way.
