It wasn't the Kellogg Estate, but the Western Health Reform Institute.  Dr. 
John Harvey Kellogg assumed the management of the organization in 1876. 
Kellogg was a vegetarian and developed vegetarian foods for the Institute. 
John's brother, Will Keith Kellogg, helped his brother improve cereal 
manufacture for the Institute and used his knowledge of the process to 
incorporate the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Co. in 1906.
