You're probably correct.  I think I took it to mean clove flower, which
would be the bud end of the whole clove.  I was unaware of the other
translation!  Yes, it would be more attractive.  The only trick would be to
make sure that you get flowers that are a)edible and b)don't have any poison
sprays on them.
