[Sca-cooks] Artis Draconis post - Thank you from the Admin

I admit that I didn't notice the very inflammitory post about the 

Artis Draconis issue until it was brought to my attention today.

I read through the digests to see if I needed to take charge of

the discussion and was impressed to see the responses.

 

That is one thing I love about the people on this list. They are

not only enthusiasts and cooks but also scholars. They don't 

fly off the handle but instead look at issues logically and carefully.

If someone makes a statement they had better make sure their

ducks are in a row because someone will correct false assumptions.

And it is generally done cooly and with facts. It is a rare 

occurance that there are any flamewars on here and I make sure

they are shut down. In the...Lord, is it 11 years now?.....that this

list has been in existance I've only had to ban one person and 

told a couple others to cool their heels and I'd let them back in.

For the internet this is pretty amazing.

 

I wish to thank you guys for being there. Even if you are just a lurker

who never posts I hope you get information out of this and please

don't be intimidated by the big brains on here. They play nice.

To you Big Brains. Thank you for making cookery and the Society

a better place.

 

You make this job easy.
