You wrote on 14 November, "I finally got a hold of my son tonight and he
published my ES Biblio in my blog but it lacks the addresses of sources,
If you paste and copy into google hopefully you will be able to find
what I am citing."

So, I did what you suggested, above, and wrote:

 > I tried what you suggested - pasting and copying the items such as
 >Addra Gazelle ?Honolulu zoo.? September 10, 2004. Your blog site was
 >first list. There were 149 other "hits". Two that I tried, which
 >listed "addra gazelle" rather than just "gazelle" did not bring up
 >anything that remotely spoke about this animal as a food source in the
 >Middle Ages. So, it would be extremely difficult for a reader to find
 >the source to which you were referring.

 >Unfortunately, you really need to go back to the page from which you

this, >I'm afraid.

You then wrote:
 >I have sent a copy your message to my son but I have no idea what you
 >are talking about. My studies in medieval food have never had anything
 >to do with the Honolulu zoo!

Actually, the Electronic Source Bibliography DOES (emphasis only) cite
an article entitled "Honolulu zoo". It is the 5th reference down, and
(cutting and pasting) says: "Addra Gazelle. “Honolulu zoo.” September
10, 2004. October 12, 2004." If you never referred to any article
entitled "Honolulu zoo", why is it on the Bibliography page?

I just tried again what you suggested, cutting and pasting in the words
from the Electronic Source Bibliography. This time I chose "Alchemy
Works White Sandalwood. June 17, 2003. June 17, 2003." There are 33,400
results. The problem with the current Bibliography is that there is no
way to find the article(s) being cited. Which one of the 33,400 "hits"
is the one you used?

Have you tried cutting and pasting the items from the Electronic Source
Bibliography to see what it comes up?

You noted:
 >The first citation on my list is Abd
 >ar-Rahman, http://www.biography.ms/Abd_ar-Rahman.html, which apparently
 >is no longer available as my studies have extended over a period of
 >years. I consulted that cite in June of 2005.

Am I missing something here? On the page
http://spanishfoodma.blogspot.com/2010/11/electronic-source-bibliography.html
the first citation is merely "Abd ar-Rahman I biography .ms . June 6,
2005. June 6, 2005." There is no http://www information, no URL.

There are no URLs for any of the items on the page for Electronic Source
Bibliography. URLs are necessary for the specific pages where the
information comes from. Otherwise, other researchers and readers can't
check what you are saying.
