Two that I tried, which listed "addra gazelle" rather than just "gazelle" did not bring up anything that remotely spoke about this animal as a food source in the Middle Ages. So, it would be extremely difficult for a reader to find the source to which you were referring.

I have sent a copy your message to my son but I have no idea what you
are talking about. My studies in medieval food have never had anything
to do with the Honolulu zoo! The first citation on my list is Abd
ar-Rahman, http://www.biography.ms/Abd_ar-Rahman.html, which apparently
is no longer available as my studies have extended over a period of
years. I consulted that cite in June of 2005.
