I am wondering if there is a connection between the Lutheran's casserole fetish during potlucks and Scandinavian cookbooks full of casserole dishes. ;o)

Came across this article and saved it for a silly season discussion
on Lutheran Binders.

regional cookbooks because it was so commonly used in these dishes,
