Got it!  nice book and it has hand writen recipies and some cut outs from newspapers and magazines a well.  And its 1874 not 1881.  Called the Household friend.

I love, love, love old cookbooks!  I too collect them as old as I can.  Right now I am waiting one from ebay that is a compleatly unknown and if there are any other copies anywhere, from 1881.  Can't wait to get it!!

Ok this OT and OP but if you are into collecting cookbooks, then this interview will resonate with you anyway. He may be collecting primarily US Southern Cookbooks but bibliomania of this sort strikes a chord in those of us who read and collect.
