<<< As people are always looking for new twists to traditional family
meals I have published this Christmas Special in my blog:http://spanishfoodma.blogspot.com/2011/12/christmas-special-memorable-medieval.htmlIt
is using recipes I have published since I started. >>>
I generally haven't had the time to browse your blog as I would like
to, but I went over there after seeing the above message.
In the HORS D'ŒUVRE section you said:
<<< Anchovies in Vinegar, Recipe by mrsamper, see anchoas >>>
Where would I see anchoas? I tried plugging "anchoas" into the 'search
this blog' window, but it simple re-directs me back to this same page.
Perhaps it is just that I'm much more familiar with webpages than blogs.
The only anchovies I've ever seen have been the ones in the can, which
I assume are not what are being specified here. Do you actually have
access to fresh anchovies? Do you Adamantius, up there in NYC? I guess
even if I find the actual info/recipe, that may make it difficult for
me to do this recipe.
I also like the "Drunken Figs" recipe. Have I mentioned how much I
like the photographs? They add a lot that I can't offer in the
Florilegium recipes. But the recipe calls for dried figs, while the
ones in the photograph look like fresh figs. Is this correct?
Maybe its because I've never seen green, dried figs here. All the
ones I've seen tend to be dark in color and wrinkled. Even when I've
boiled them in wine, they don't see to plump out like the ones in the
