Greetings! Without the original recipe - and/or a translation of it - it 
is difficult to tell if the posted recipe is "medieval".  Most readers 
wouldn"t have a copy of Nola or other authors. Have you posted the 
original recipes somewhere, or do you have a link to an online version 
of the cookery books that are listed?
