[Sca-cooks] OOP -- tea kettle adventures

I fell in love with Alton Brown's tea kettle with rockets that spin around!! Personally I love my electric hot pot (the one Alton uses). It doesn't whistle but works so fast I just finish prepping the coffee or tea I am making. It has an auto off feature. I prefer to keep the hot pot on an easy to reach shelf where it can heat up on it's separate base than take up a burner with a tea kettle as I used to.

Burned out the 2d Indonesian "Revereware" in a row, so spent some time on-line reading up and then driving around town to see who had what & about price$$$. Looking for something, ANYthing NOT "Hecho en Chine"! Also, didn't want an electric hot water pot, Brit-style, even if they are good in lots of ways; don't need any more electric appliances.
