Enough saffron is a relative term :-)
One of my husband's signature dishes in paella. He also makes a fair number of other Spanish dishes that call for saffron. So we go through a fair amount around here. An ounce in 12 to 18 months is not unusual for us.
As someone else mentioned, an ounce it more than you think! A little jar
will last you a long time, I use a fair amount of saffron, and I can
usually get through the tourney season (May-Sept) with one jar. YMMV.
