Noble Cooks!

Greetings from Solveig! Ancient cooking techniques appear to have used nested conical vessels (point down) with rounded bottoms. The lower vessel might be filled with water and the upper vessel might be used for cooking. The lower vessel rests in a hole in a sort of earthenware fire chamber called a kamado. http://veronica5.exblog.jp/9557717/ for pictures of modern kamado in use.
