I don't have much experience with Kindle. The advantage and 
disadvantage of pdf is that the layout is fixed--you are looking at 
pictures of the pages of a book, not at something like a word 
processor file that rearranges layout according to the size of the 
window and similar constraints. For a page with images where layout 
matters, that's a definite plus. But if the pdf might be read on 
anything from a big desktop monitor to a cell phone, it mean that on 
the small screen you are either looking at a very shrunken image of 
the page, or reading a page in pieces that fit on your screen.
