George Lang, the author of  "“The Cuisine of Hungary” (1971), the  
first serious work in English on Hungarian cooking, and “Lang’s  
Compendium of Culinary Nonsense and Trivia” (1980), a collection of  
historical anecdotes and odd dishes, like elephant schnitzel has died."
