Go to http://www.yorkarchaeology.co.uk/resources/pubs_archive.htm and down load the pdf "Finds from Medieval York".   It is about 10 meg.  It has quite a bit about a foundry excavated.  It makes a statement or two about cauldrons having been made but does not back such up well with artifacts. Some interesting notes on high status ceramics and glass.
