Sounds like a lot of fun. Could you post just a sample recipe? I'd just like to see
how you go about it.
 
One of my fantasies is to have a course of dinners over several months recreating
many of the meals featured in the Lord of the Rings. Tolkein was often pretty exacting
in his descriptions.  I'd do a meal of dried fruits, venison, pottage and cheese
for Faramir's Rangers.  Maybe a meal of honey, cream, bread, salmon and such for
Bjorn's dinner.
