Aeduin, I'm a little confused here. It was my understanding that you were
working on a translation of A proper new Boke of Cokery of 1575 from the
Meyers transcription found on medievalcookery.com. Now you are using the
term facsimile, suggesting you have a facsimile copy, which a transcription
is not. Facsimile is a very specific term which refers to as an exact a
material reproduction of the work in question. A proper facsimile will also
have the additional information about who created the facsimile and when it
was created. To my knowledge, no facsimile of the 1575 edition of A proper
new Boke of Cokery has ever been made. Would you please give us an accurate
bibliographic description of the source you are using to satisfy my
curiosity? If there is a facsimile edition out there, I know at least three
of us who would like a copy.
