Medieval Cooking - Thursday 25th
WITH CAROLINE YELDHAM

Fresh from filming the ‘Great British Bake-Off’, Caroline Yeldham, who is one of the country’s foremost food historians, will show you just how delicious medieval cuisine really was!

Caroline has over 20 years of practical experience and has run many dinners, workshops and tastings for the castles and other historic sites. The workshop will cover some of the culinary delights the Black friars might have enjoyed back in medieval times.

The Dominicans’ cooked using the abundance of fresh, local and seasonal produce around them, peppering their food with spices from far-away lands to produce succulent and delicious dishes – so much as we still do today then!

Learn about medieval cooking, table manners and etiquette whilst devouring an authentic medieval gastronomic meal made right in front of you in the same surroundings enjoyed by friars over 700 years ago!

TIMES: 10am to 4pm
