I've started a new project: I'm going to cook my way through every limuniyya (stew flavored with lemon juice) that I can find. Sadly, limuniyya does not appear in al-Warraq, so I started tonight with the al-Baghdadi version. Even there I had to decide which translation (Arberry, Rodinson, or Perry). I've found a couple of untranslated versions, plus I have a few recipes from southern Europe that appear to be descended from it. I'll post occasionally on how things are going.
