[Sca-cooks] From market to table at St. Denis

The St. Denis Abbey near Paris was one of the few to leave extensive  
written records which are invaluable for the cultural history of earlier times.  
But its site has also been explored archaeologically and the French Ministry 
of  Culture has put up a nice site about these digs, including a section on 
food,  which can be found here by clicking on "les travaux et les jours", 
then "Du  marche a la table" (to get all this in English, click on "anglais"
