Greetings! Ivan Day, food historian, chef, confectioner, author and 
lecturer, has a new blog at http://foodhistorjottings.blogspot.com/ with 
instructions on how to roast a pike before an open fire. We actually did 
this in one of the courses he gives (Tudor and Early Stuart).
Ivan has been working with the National Trust at a 17th-century 
farmhouse in Cumbria to help them interpret domestic life and set up a 
display of foods. Lots of photos! Enjoy!
