Turkish Delight, as has been pointed out, is waaaaay out of period for the SCA.

In modern recipes cornstarch is substituted for wheat starch. While i can't find it in supermarkets, most halal markets in my area carry wheat starch. Failing a local shop, there are always internet shops.
