A monograph is a paper addressing a single subject or, given a broad
subject, an aspect of a single subject. Generally, the scope is very
limited and carefully defined.

First, what *is* a monograph? Is it supposed to be about a single subject?
Not being from an academic background, I’m afraid I’m not really sure what
one is supposed to be.
Thanks,
Stefan
