Are we talking prior to 1600 here? Is someone saying sugar beets were processed for sugar prior to 1600? Or that using parsnips for a type of sugar was being done prior to 1600 and that led in turn to sugar beet processing?
Is there a source on online blog for where this question comes from? I know there are some odd ideas being floated out there these days.
