Greetings! Historic Royal Palaces is offering a 6-day "culture break" in
March 2017.

This appears to be an "offshoot" of the "History of Royal Food and
Feasting" course which begins its second version this Monday, October
31. (https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/royal-food/2/)

Nearly 200 SCAdians participated in the first time this course was
presented last June/July. This second course is much the same but
contains some new material. The joint sponsors are the University of
Reading and Historic Royal Palaces.

The 5-week, FREE, online course covers Henry VIII (Hampton Court),
Elizabeth I (Tower of London), George I (Hampton Court), George III (Kew
Palace), and Victoria (Kensington Palace).

I took the first course and have signed up to do the second as well.
Since this course it totally online, and you can work on each of the
sections when you have time - day or night - it should be convenient for
most of you - if you are interested. There is NO COST. You participate
in the activities to the extent you are able. If you can't cook any of
the suggested recipes, that's fine. You are free to participate in the
online comments - or not.

The "culture break" may be a bit too expensive for most of us in the US,
but I'm excited to say that I've just signed up for it - and might be
eating peanut butter sandwiches for a while to save a bit more money!

How about participating in the online course which starts Monday? (You
can sign up at anytime!)
