I don’t know that it increases your academic resume, but if he, or anyone, has a good article or paper or A&S docs that will stand without the item, I would love to consider adding them to the Florilegium. You keep the copyright, can publish them elsewhere and I accept updates as you learn more or want to change something.  

That includes articles on all aspects of the SCA and medieval history, not just food stuff.

I have heard that such papers can help you advance in the SCA. I wish more Peers would encourage their students/apprentices/squires to write such papers. They can always work with their proteges to verify/check the work before they send it to me.
