My copies of To the King's Tastes and To the Queen's Taste are autographed. She was at a local bookstore (Omnivore Books ... new & used cookery books) a couple of years ago touting a new pressure cooker book.
I recently bought some books from Bonnie Slotnick in New York and she said Lorna Sass had downsized her library some, so Bonnie was selling some books that had belonged to Lorna. I've got her copy of Messisbugo coming to me any day now :-)

Subject: [Sca-cooks] Checking up on Lorna Sass

One of the pioneers of medieval cookbooks back in the day was Lorna Sass. She's in the news these days because she's written four books now on pressure cookers with recipes. The Instant Pot craze is driving sales. Her webpage is here http://lornasass.com/
She mentions her early books here: http://lornasass.com/biography
Anyone else remember those books from when they were first published?
