You may have already tried this, but but Google Translate offers a
slightly-mangled English version:

Dr. Sverrir Tómasson, middle age lecturer, gives readers literary guidance
> about the customs and customs of the ancestors with a table in the book
> Pipraðir Páfuglar - Icelandic cuisine in the Middle Ages.
> This novel book tells about princes who lived in succession practically
> and made a living in a multifaceted food and drink at the same time as the
> blue-eyed almighty had to put his mouth out of his mouth.
> "In the hymn quotes, it is often said that peppered peacocks were the
> finest cakes that the chiefs served in their food during the Middle Ages,"
> he explains, and guessed that this "ritklifi" was intended to highlight the
> fate and enthusiasm of the hosts.
> In addition, the book contains 23 recipes from the oldest Icelandic recipe
> book, The Diary, which is also a medical and health book.
