Lambic/gueuze brands to look for: *Lindemans "Cuvée René" Gueuze Lambic '94 (96) *Lindemans "Cuvée René" Gueuze Lambic '97 (96) *F. Boon Gueuze "Mariage Parfait (95) *Gueuze Caveau (92) *Boon Gueuze (92) *Gueuze Lambic, Brasserie Cantillon (90) These were listed in the May 2001 issue of All About Beer and represent the best beers in the category tested during 97-99. Gueuze is a blend of young and old lambic where the old er batch is allowed to mature in wooden casks for some time, two years IIRC. I can't remember the ratio in the blend but 2:1 rings a bell. If you can't find a lambic/gueuze I suggest you look for a rodenbach, either the R. Grand Cru or R.
