About 2 months ago on PBS.  "Cooking with Julia" the episode was Martha
Steward makeing a wedding cake decorated with marzipan fruit.

She made a thin rope of Marzipan painted with brown paste colour, let it
dry and used it as the stem for the cherries. 

Same thing might work for grapes, a little more shapeing needed then a
single cherry stem, but should work
