Sounds like I was raised in a unique environment. I can not remember a time when I did not know what sugarplems were. We used to make them, and candied oramge rind every fall, was part of the cgristmas tradition. Both Ethel Swchitzburger and her friend Mrs Dalmond Ethel's husband was the Dalmonds hired man for his entire adult life.
