My name is Fa'rissa I mostly just "lurk" on your list soaking up tons of wonderful knowledge but I have a question so I thought I'd better introduce myself first.  I've recently come back to the SCA after being out for many years.  (My teenage son discovered the SCA.) Since I've come back I have learned that the usual stuff at events sometimes bores me but the things you all are doing here with period foods and period methods is certainly not boring!
Gunthar's article on period cooking over a open fire was awesome.  I even found pictures I think were of his trail run?  (Not here but on another yahoo groups list)  I stayed up way to late looking at them.
I stumbled across a neat site someone listed on the Newcomers list and I was curious if any of you had checked it out and what you thought.

They have rivetted cauldron's that really look like fun and thier note on how to authentically waterproof them was really interesting!  I just don't know if it would really work.  If anyone gets a chance I'd love to know what you think!
I doubt I could afford the shipping but they sure look neat!
