Nicolaea,
You might want to see the selections at Collin County Community College
library, just east of Jupiter on Spring Creek Parkway. They will be
upstairs. Visconti Hours and the like. Nice thumbing through to give 'em a
"test run."
Second the suggestion about George Braziller's offerings. If you hit it
right, Half-Price Books have them in sections on period art or period
history, but you have to ask where they are located. Different stores stash
them different places. One was even found in the Latin language books
section because all the photos had works that were Latin. Lord love a duck!
For ordering, try the website www.JohnNealBooks.com. He has a wide selection
of How-tos, Hours, Collections, etc. of books, plus calligraphic and
illumination supplies. Some can be quite pricey (well over $100!) due to all
the color photography (which might preclude some bringing their investments
to an out-of-town show and tell....me, for instance, due to having books
previously ruined by careless handlers).

PS. If you want to sent me a post, you can't do a Return Reply; gotta type
in letebts at earthlink.net ("Return" email problems} or a post to me will
bounce. Sorry. Working on it...
