[Scriptoris] Scrolls and Charters--why?

Sometimes the court reports don't get in or have holes, a copy of the
charter or scroll may then be needed to get the holder into the OP...The
Crown does not often remember every award given, a document in hand clears
up much..
People move about, documents can settle possible misunderstandings...I have
met three 'peers' in my time with no docs, befor this lovely internet thing
helped us do fact finding, people do switch names and personnas, or go away
for long periods, and then there are an occasional con  here and there...
People forget, data gets mislaid or misposted, names change, and those
pretty things on the wall can be taken down and used to fill in the gaps...
Documents very good thing, wheather its armigorous of any level , or not...
Get a decent batch together and we can name all the peers in x group or
region, and probably name most of the Lions and who made them, But Thisles
and Cranes, AoA's?
The longer we stay around to more we need an up to date OP, and definetly we
need to continue to have charters, We can handle keeping up with Peers and
Royals until we can get them settled with a Scribe...
