Well....duh....Lete brings to mind yet another "Fond Apprenti Story"
(tm).....which I would highly encourage you guys (even way up North) to
consider a summer road trip to do....

It all started when young Aslyn begged her Laurel (and grand Laurel) to
take her to....The SMU Libraries!!!!! Yes, kids....there are wonders to
behold at the SMU libraries (note the plurality here)...even extant
examples (read: primary sources that you can squint at, and "if memory
serves me" if you hit it at the right time, you can put on gloves and
fondle....."oooohhhhh").

I found a wide variety of obscure (and not so obscure) material to work
with. Those libraries served me for years to come (and many, many late
night trips....I got to know the clerks at the Ramada across the street
a little too well).

The Dallas Public library also has nifty books...*however*....to me it
feels like an Act of Congress to get to them (although I always thought
Mistress Serena had, like, the Willy Wonka Golden ticket to get in or
something)....but they do have some really nice costuming books
there...if I remember correctly....you know....me and costuming
(shudders)...

So....consider a Summer road trip down to SMU....

And Mistress Serena is also correct: I was remiss in not mentioning the
Alexandrian Library South....Mistress Rose and Master Geoff's....I just
always thought that they had the entire collection memorized as
well...think of them as the portable V&A...

~Aslyn
