In some kingdoms, there is 'insignia' for an AoA (folks allowed to now wear a metal silver fillet
of 1/4 inch), but not in Ansteorra, anyone can wear a metal fillet up to 1/2 inch. (This is called
a sumptuary law, see kingdom laws.)

The Rising Star does have 'regalia', or rather 'Insignia', that goes with the award. Check the
Ansteorran website, the Heralds page, Scroll Texts, page 11. The blazon that goes with it is
'Or, a mullet of five greater and five lesser points sable, overall a point gules'.

But a small point, anyone can purchase insignia from a number of merchants in the SCA. Not
everyone can have a piece of paper with their name, the award and date, and the signature of the
Crown or Principal Herald, essentially witnessing the award being given. As awards are given at
events, a recording herald will make a list of those awards, have the Crown/landed Nobel
sign/witness the list and mail it into the Zodiacus Herald in charge of the precidence list.

If it's an old award not recently witnessed by an onsite herald, or if it got missed off the list,
(or you moved in from out of kingdom), to have the Zodiacus (recording) herald put your awards
into the order of precedence; the actual award scroll is zerox copied and mailed to the herald as
'proof' of receipt of that award. (Those from out-of-kingdom, can also have their kingdom
heraldic officer write a letter as validation of those other kingdom awards.)
