[Scriptoris] Scribal Historian job duties

My 2 Cents:

I'm assuming that you will be archiving online and keeping any hard
copy you receive in some sort of file or scrapbook.

Archive all official scroll texts and record official text changes,
when, and by whom. Always Kingdom level, and Baronial level as much as
possible. Archive any other official scroll requirements: scroll sizes,
paper requirements, ink and paint requirements for achievement scrolls.
Hopefully, this will not change much once it is recorded. Perhaps
record the history of the beginning of the Charter scrolls and how they
are produced and used. I think I had the first ones made, though the
concept was someone else's. S.P. Herald? Serena?

Keep a brief history of the Signet's office with dates and names of
past Star Signets. Major accomplishments of each - optional. Include
the creation and similar history for Signet deputies.

Collect and put online as many photographs as possible of original
scrolls. Myself, I would prefer a fair sized photo for the scroll and
close-ups of some details whenever available. For each scroll, I would
like to know:
1 The artist(s) and where they live
2 Date of scroll completion
3 The recipient and the award
4 Historical inspiration for the scroll design. Country, year, style
of a certain historical artist, specific MS used as a reference, etc.
5 What media were used: paper, paints, ink, gold . . .
6 Any snippets of special interest concerning the design and creation
of the scroll

To: scribes scriptoris at ansteorra.org

I want to ask the scribes of the kingdom a question:

Question:
What tasks or duties do you see the office of Ansteorran Scribal
Historian doing?
What history elements do we want to save into archives or scrapbooks?

I look forward to your responses.
Hillary
