Greetings Scribes,
Some may be interested in a new exhibit at the Houston Museum of Nat'l Science, on the Dead Sea
Scrolls; from Oct 1, 2004 - Jan.2, 2005. If you are in the area, may be something to add to your
'must see' list.
Check out details at: http://deadseascrolls.hmns.org/
Per the exhibit:
The world-famous Dead Sea Scrolls include the earliest known manuscripts of the books of the
Hebrew Bible, known to Christians as the Old Testament. Rarely seen outside of Jerusalem, this
unique exhibition includes actual fragments of 13 of the scrolls written more than 2000 years ago,
plus artifacts from the ancient Dead Sea settlement of Qumran near the caves where the scrolls
were discovered in 1947.
