**SCA Knowne World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium - July 22-24, Longmont, Colorado

Please allow us to extend the hospitality of the Outlands to heralds and scribes everywhere. Join
us this July for the Known World Heraldic and Scribal Symposium.   (Ed note - this is a weekend
conference, with social activities on Friday, heraldic and scribal classes on Saturday, and
Sunday, the Heralds Road-show, and scribal gatherings.

Paper & Book Intensive is a working sabbatical for practitioners and motivated beginners in the
book arts, papermaking, and conservation. Daily class sessions are combined with lectures,
discussions, and shared meals, to promote unusual levels of exchange and inspiration. PBI 2005 is
an opportunity to visit the Western United States and some of the terrific book and paper people
who inhabit its rugged terrain.


**Legacies 2005 - July 23 - 30, Dallas, Tx - (the International Lettering Arts Conference)-

Legacies is a week long residential conference where more than 500 participants and the finest
instructors in the world are expected to gather together to study the fine art and technical
skills of the lettering arts! 

The conference features individualized instruction, a multitude of fine art exhibits, amazing
product and technique discoveries at Embellishments - a three-day trade show, 90-minute Break-Out
sessions, hallmark presentations and spontaneous interaction to give participants the opportunity
to maximize their learning experience.

Welcome, prospective teachers and students, to the Pennsic University, the largest single teaching
and learning experience in the Known World! Once again we will gather at Pennsic to exchange
information, widen our horizons and come away richer for the experience. 
Classes will officially begin on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 and will continue through Friday,
August 19, 2005.  (class schedule not yet online). 
Also: This year marks the eighth anniversary of the A&S Exhibition at Pennsic. This exhibit gives
the artisans of the Known World the opportunity to display their works and share their talents
with the Crowns, Peers and Populace of our Society without the pressure of a competitive
atmosphere.
