Actually, there's no jumping *simply* because the Crown Prince, Mahadi, is
Moorish - though it certainly sparked additional interest on my part. There
is a very large contingent of middle eastern persona'd folks in my area, and
the last Golden Scroll work I did, the recipiant specifically asked if there
were ME scrolls. I've painted scrolls in the colors of, and with device
elements of, the sitting crown. I've also done scrolls in the colors and
design request of the recipiant. (At this point, I tend to do more Golden
Scrolls than charters.)

Just as there really isn't much actual precendent in history or period for
documents such as we create, with the fancy illumination from Books of Hours
put onto legal documents, we don't HAVE to create designs for middle eastern
charters that have Qu'uran quotes. There's plenty of middle eastern design
elements that could be used that don't quote Holy scripture.
Just a thought to consider,
