know I'm planning to attend KWHSS 2006, and will likely teach a class or two.

For those concerned about the New Orleans status, I'm told that the areas for the conference were
not affected by most levy floodwaters, and neither was most of historic French Quarter. 
New Orleans does have a major airport for your travel plans.

The Known World's Youngest Kingdom invites heralds, scribes,
scholars, and those who want to learn to the 2006 Known World
Heraldic and Scribal Symposium.  Come to the verdant River Valley to
celebrate the heraldic and scribal arts and the revival of the New
Orleans area.

The event will be held at the Four Points by Sheraton New Orleans in
Metarie, Louisiana - a short trip from the French Quarter and other
area attractions.  Free shuttle service will be available from the
New Orleans International Airport.  There is free parking at the
hotel.  A negotiated price of $82 a night is available - please call
(888) 627-9017 and ask for the SCA rate.  The rate is good for
travelers who want to arrive early and stay late as well.

Specific tours are being arranged for Friday.  Please check future
flyers for tour and activity availability.

There will be a meet and greet Friday night at the hotel, classes
during the day on Saturday, and the ever popular Roadshow Sunday
morning.  Instead of a traditional feast, your hosts may arrange
dining tours to many of New Orleans' great and famous eateries.

Your articles and classes are still needed.  Please contact our
class coordinator and Proceedings editors for details.

Merchants are welcome, but must pre-register.

After 05.01.06 and at the door:  $22
$3 surcharge for non-members
Children 6-11:  half price
Children under 6:  free
