Greetings,
Wanted to share with you all the following link where they have put a number of 'must have' books
for the artist, online:
http://www.noteaccess.com/
(got to the bottom of the page, under 'TEXTS')
Not all have been scanned for online viewing, but the reference details are listed, so you can
check your library or interlibrary loan.

Often cited by SCA artisans, and good for the bibliographys:
1. Cennino D'Andrea Cennini. The Craftsman's Handbook. The Italian "Il Libro dell' Arte."
Translated by Daniel V. Thompson, Jr. New York: Dover Publications, Inc. 1933, by Yale University
Press.

2. Thompson, Daniel V., Jr., Research and Technical Adviser, The Courtauld Institute of Art,
University of London. The Practice of Tempera Painting. New Haven: Yale University Press. 1936.
Fourth Printing, 1946.

These books are generally available for a nominal fee from Dover, so should be within financial
reach of SCA'ers, but this gives you an online option for searching and research as well as saving
a few pennies.

Happy reading.
Cheers, Hillary
