Scribes of Ansteorra,
The 2010 Ansteorran Heraldic and Scribal Symposium is almost here! On July 31, heralds and scribes will come together (some from out of kingdom) to share knowledge and fun.
Already we have two full tracks of scribal focused classes and more are coming. If you are interested in submitting a class, please contact me at the following email address, st.amaranth at yahoo.com<mailto:st.amaranth at yahoo.com>. Visit the web site (http://herald.ansteorra.org/ahss) and review class descriptions. There are classes for beginners to advanced artists. Something for everyone.
Did I mention the symposium is FREE?! There is no event cost for attending. There is no feast or lunch either but the site is very close to a restaurant row with lots of selection.
This year there is even an attached fighter practice. The Wiesenfeuer Chivalric and Rapier Marshals will be on-site to hold a fighter practice through most of the day. Bring that fighting spouse or significant other who is not yet interested in heraldry or scribal arts; they too will have a full day.
One last note. Would you like to travel up but your spouse or significant other is not really interested in heraldic or scribal or fighting? Oklahoma City offers, for example, the Cowboy Hall of Fame, the Frontier City amusement park, and White Water Bay for swimmers. And if you have not visited the Oklahoma City Bombing National Memorial, then you have missed a very moving experience and reminder. There could be plenty to do if they come with you.
So, come out. There is already plenty to do and more coming.
Respectfully,
Maitre Etienne de St. Amaranth
Event Steward for AH&SS 2010
